SPRING LAKE — Coopersville’s boys basketball team got off to a sizzling start on the road against Spring Lake and rolled to a 54-38 victory Tuesday night in the OK Blue.

Coopersville opened the game with a 15-4 run in the first quarter. The two teams each scored 10 points in the second, and Coopersville enjoyed a 25-14 lead at the half.

Porter Sanders led the Lakers with 11 points while Eli Morrison scored 10.

Spring Lake dropped to 4-4 overall and 2-2 in the conference with its second straight loss. The Lakers next travel to play Hudsonville Unity Christian on Friday.
