FRUITPORT–With their streak now extended to 11 wins, the Calvary Christian girls basketball team continues to flex their dominance through the Alliance League and beyond with a commanding 63-22 win over visiting Grand River Prep in conference action on Tuesday evening.

Starting slow the Eagles pulled ahead by two points to end the first quarter by a score of 7-5.

The Eagles found the spark they needed as they took off on a 20-9 scoring run to end the first half and held an 27-14 lead over the Titans.

The tone had been set for the Eagles as they continued to grow their lead with another scoring run, this time putting up 19 points while holding the Titans to just six points bringing the score to 46-20 entering the fourth quarter.

It was more of the same in the fourth quarter with the Eagles attacking the basket to rack up 17 points and turned up the pressure defensively almost completely shutting down the Titans and holding them to only two points.

Cate Anhalt led the Eagles offense with a game high 24 points to go with eight rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks while McKena Wilson added 18 points, six steals and two assists. Reagan Payton chipped in with 15 points, five rebounds and three steals.

Calvary Christian improves to 11-1 on the season and remains perfect in the Alliance League with a record of 5-0. The Eagles will be on the road on Thursday when they visit the Crusaders of Muskegon Catholic for non-conference tilt.
