SCOTTVILLE — Mason County Central’s girls soccer team scored early on a goal by Charlie Banks, but the visiting Benzie Central Huskies netted six in a row to defeat the Spartans, 6-1 in a non-conference match Wednesday night.

The Spartans were throttled on offense by the Huskies defense. Adria Quigley took one shot at the Huskies net in the first half, and two in the second.

Bronwyn Stevens managed three shots in the first half, and Mya Sterely had one in the second.

Gabby Jensen had seven saves. The Spartans had five corner kicks, and no offsides.
