MUSKEGON–Mona Shores baseball team swept a non-conference doubleheader from Reeths-Puffer, 6-1 and 12-0 at home Wednesday night.

Jaxon Huffman improved his record to 6-0 in the first game, allowing one unearned run and striking out 13.

Huffman also was hot at the plate, going 3-for-3 including a three-run home run to send the Sailors out to a 4-0 lead.

The Sailors opened the scoring in the second inning when Javanni Johnson ripped an RBI double, and Landon Thalman padded the lead with two RBI on a single in the sixth.

Jason Anderson picked up the win on the bump in the nightcap, giving up just one hit and striking out four in improving his record to 4-0 on the season.

Anderson also swung a hot bat, crushing a grand slam home run in the bottom of the first to give the Sailors all the runs they would need.

Mark Konecny cleared the park with a three-run blast and had another hit and four RBI. Thalman contributed two more hits for the Sailors.

The Sailors improved to 16-2 overall.
