HUDSONVILLE — Mason County Eastern’s Corinna Hernandez turned in a pair of All-State finishes among the top athletes at Saturday’s Division 4 track and field state meet.
Hernandez took second place in the shot put with a top throw of 37-11 while taking fourth in the discus event with a throw of 117-05.
White Cloud, Manistee Catholic and Mason County Eastern each had top-10 finishers in the finals in Hudsonville.
MCE boasted the top finish for area teams behind state champion Western Michigan Christian. The Cardinals placed 15th overall with 15 points.
The Cardinals were led by Lucy Shoup in the 800-meter run for a ninth-place finish with a time of 2:27.34.
Olivia Wing took eighth in the 300 hurdles with a time of 50.43 while Hillary Howe finished seventh in the pole vault with an 8-0 vault.
White Cloud’s 400 relay team of Carsyn Scarlavai, Mariah Edwards, Shantel Palmer and Jaden Gomez took seventh with a time of 52.69.
