SCOTTVILLE—The Fremont boys and Whitehall girls’ cross country teams took the top team honors on Tuesday afternoon at the second West Michigan Conference Lakes Jamboree.

The meet was in Scottville at West Shore Community College.

In the boys’ division, Fremont 46 points while Whitehall was close behind with 48.

Rounding out the team scoring were Ludington (76), Manistee (120), Oakridge (124) and Montague (131).

Taking top individual honors was Whitehall senior Carter Mcllroy with a time of 17:20.07. His senior teammate, Andre Richmond, finished runner-up with a time of 17:40.56. Ludington junior Jose Flores came in third place with a time of 17:50.08.

Other top ten finishers included: Peyton Ruel (Oakridge), Owen Fairchild (Montague), Sean Pettis (Fremont), Henrik Quist (Fremont), Stewart Waters (Whitehall), John Christensen (Fremont) and Trey Keson (Ludington).

The top finisher for Manistee was junior Jack O’Donnell, who came in 12th place.

In the girls’ division, the Whitehall Vikings finished with 42, one point better than Ludington and Manistee finished a distant third with 88.

Rounding out the team scoring were Fremont (96), Oakridge (96) and Montague (141).

Taking top individual honors was Ludington sophomore Summer Brower with a time of 20:26.06. She was followed by Fremont freshman Linnea Paige at 20:42.87 and Manistee junior Cecilia Postma came in third place at 21:00.20.

Other top finishers included: Ariana Treat (Whitehall), Nadia Grierson (Ludington), Cami Kraai (Whitehall), Cammie Erickson (Montague), Adalyn Britton (Whitehall), Merceydez Patton (Oakridge) and Autumn Brower (Ludington).
