LUDINGTON–The Ludington girls golf team shot a round of 177 on Wednesday afternoon to capture the top spot in the third West Michigan Conference golf jamboree of the season.

The event was at Lincoln Hills Golf Club in Ludington.

The Montague Wildcats finished in the runner-up position, shooting a round of 197.

Other team scores included: Whitehall (200), Fremont (216), Oakridge (224), North Muskegon (230), Manistee (246) and Holton (262).

Ludington junior Emma McKinley took top individual honors with a 37. Her teammate, senior Sophia Sarto, finished in the runner-up position at 42 while Montague senior Natalie Kellogg came in third place with a 43.

Rounding out the top ten finishers were: Ava Garcia (Whitehall/47), Lilly Schwartz (Fremont/48), Reya Dila (Ludington/48), Mackenzie Goudreau (Montague/49), Lizbeth Bentz (Whitehall/49), Sam Hanson (Ludington/50), Grace McDowell (Whitehall/52), Allie Van Antwerp (Whitehall/52), Amelia Foster (Fremont/52 and Brooke Berry (Montague/52).
