BEAR LAKE — Mason County Eastern’s girls volleyball team swept Bear Lake in three sets (25-13, 25-17, 25-17) in a Western Michigan D League match on the road Thursday night.

“We had a good game tonight, but we still have some kinks to work out as we progress this season,” Cardinals coach Hilary Wright said.

Janessa Alvesteffer had a big night at the service line for the Cardinals, finishing with six aces. She also had five tips, two kills, one block, one attack and three digs.

Taylor Campbell served up five aces, contributed two attacks and had one tip.

Deanna Codman added three service aces, had three kills, two attacks and five digs.

Avery Crawford had two aces and one attack, Ashley Willoughby added one ace and one attack and Malu Montanher had three digs on defense.

The Cardinals continue league play next Monday night when they host Big Rapids Crossroads Academy.
