Mona Shores takes first two sets before falling to Zeeland West in five sets

ZEELAND –The Mona Shores volleyball team lost their hold over Zeeland West in OK Conference-Green action on Tuesday night

The Sailors won the first two sets but lost steam and lost the next three sets.

The loss came with set scores of 25-17, 25-19, 20-25, 20-25 and 13-15.

Ava Dunn made 18 kills and three blocks, while Izzy Sturtevant added 18 digs and two aces.

Kyann Hellmann supported with 44 assists. Grace Allen and Mallory Hogston had 12 kills and eight digs respectively.

Mona Shores (15-5, 3-1) will be at home on Tuesday (Sept. 27) against Zeeland East for more league play.
