The Mona Shores varsity softball team swept a non-conference doubleheader from Whitehall on Thursday, 8-6 and 14-4. lsj-fb-logo

In Game 1, senior Megan Crane picked up the win on the mound. Seniors Mackenzie Quinn and Mackenzie Willeke each had three hits while fellow senior Sammi Sanborn was 2-for-3 with four RBIs.

In Game 2, Whitehall surged to an early 4-0 lead, but Sanborn’s three doubles and four RBIs ignited the Sailors’ offense. Quinn also had three hits and three RBIs, while Crane had two hits.

Kaitlyn Goodrich led the Vikings with four hits and three RBIs during the doubleheader.

With the sweep, the Sailors improve to 17-11 this season.
