MUSKEGON — Hart’s girls volleyball team swept host Orchard View in three sets, 25-14, 25-19, 25-11 Tuesday night.

The Pirates played close with the Cardinals early in each set before opening a lead and never looking back.

Mariana VanAgtmael had a solid night serving for the Pirates, going 18-of-19 for 94 percent with 3 aces. She also contributed 14 digs on defense.

Addi Hovey was the leader in the attack with 10 kills, while she added 4 blocks, 5 digs and 1 assist. Rayah Helenhouse had 4 kills, 2 digs and 3 assists.

Mya Chickering contributed 3 aces, 2 kills, 2 digs and 1 block. Gabby Schmieding was 10-of-10 serving, had 1 assist, 3 kills and 2 digs.

Grace Gamble was 11-of-11 serving with 4 aces and also had 2 digs. Kelsey Copenhaver had 3 kills. MaKayla Rockwell was 5-of-5 serving, had 2 assists, 3 kills and 6 digs. Laura Bitely hda 4 digs.

Hart improved to 7-1-1 and will be at home Tuesday, Sept. 13 against North Muskegon.
