Hellmann leads Mona Shores over Wyoming in three sets

NORTON SHORES –The Mona Shores volleyball team breezed by Wyoming in the first round of the OK-Green tournament on Tuesday evening.

The Sailors won in three sets, 25-13, 25-2, 25-4.

Kyann Hellmann led the Sailors with 23 assists and five aces, while Grace Allen and Ava Dunn added nine and seven kills, respectively.

Izzy Sturtevant chipped in 10 digs with seven aces and Jersey VanderWall had six kills and five blocks.

Mona Shores (19-9, 6-2) will head to Reeths-Puffer on Saturday for the GMAA City Tournament.
