Morley-Stanwood–The Kent City Eagles offense rode the arm and legs of quarterback Kyler Larson on Friday evening as they shut out the Morley-Stanwood Mohawks 36-0.
The CSAA Silver game was played at Morley-Stanwood.
Larson carried the ball 12 times for 112 rushing yards and scored three touchdowns. He completed 8-of-10 passes for 115 yards.
Mason Westbrook led the Kent City rushing attack with 122 yards on 18 carries and scored a touchdown while Ari Baker caught four passes for 79 yards.
The Eagles rushed for 244 yards.
Kent City led after the first quarter 13-0 as Larson scored on a 3-yardm run and Westbrook scored on a 14-yard run.
Larson found the endzone in the second quarter on a 35-yard TD run to put the Eagles up 22-0 at halftime.
Larson tacked on third-quarter TD on a 4-yard run and Caden Hartzell capped off the scoring on a 1-yard run in the fourth quarter.
Jake Perry led the defense with nine tackles. Gabe Rusnell and Jim Anderson each chipped in seven tackles.
Next week, Kent City (6-0, 3-0) travels to Reed City to take Coyotes (5-1)
