MUSKEGON–The Ludington girls and the Fremont boys captured the top spots on Tuesday afternoon at the West Michigan Conference-Lakes cross country jamboree held at Oakridge high school.

In the girls division Ludington finished with a team score of 23 points. They were followed by Whitehall (61), Manistee (78), Oakridge (91) and Montague (117).

Ludington sophomore Nadia Grierson was the top individual runner with a time of 20:03. Manistee junior Cecilia Postma came in second place with a time of 20:19 and Ludington freshman Christina Theis finished in third place with a time of 20:32.

Other top ten runners for the day included Summer Brower (Ludington), Ariana Treat (Whitehall), Merceydez Patton (Oakridge), Annie Kline (Ludington), Olivia Anderson (Ludington), Cammie Erickson (Montague) and Adalyn Britton (Whitehall).

In the boys division the Fremont Packers finished with a total team score of 36 points. They were followed by Whitehall who had 40 points good enough for a second place finish. Ludington came in third place with 69 points while Manistee finished in fourth place with 111 points and Montague tallied 119 team points for a fifth place finish.

Whitehall standout senior Andre Richmond took top individual honors with a time of 16:50. He was followed by his senior teammate Carter Mcllroy who had a finishing time of 17:01 and Fremont junior Sean Pettis came in third place with a time of 17:10.

Other top ten runners included Jose Flores (Ludington), Carter Sherman (Fremont), John Christensen (Fremont), Henrik Quist (Fremont), Stewart Waters (Whitehall), Peyton Ruel (Oakridge) and Owen Fairchild (Montague).
