PORT HURON –The Muskegon Community College volleyball team got a win on Saturday in the Region 12 finals.

The Jayhawks now advance to the NJCAA Division 2 National Championship Tournament.

The Jayhawks swept Oakland Community College in three sets, 25-16, 25-17, 25-15.

Raegan Murphy and Kendra Kieft earned all-tournament team honors, while Reilly Murphy was named as the tournament MVP.

Leading the way, Raegan Murphy had 31 assists, nine kills, two aces and two blocks. Reilly Murphy added 19 digs, nine kills and a pair of aces.

Kayla Fisk chipped in 10 kills with four blocks and Elana Vaara had seven kills, three blocks and two aces. Leah Ellis also contributed with nine digs, five kills and three aces.

MCC (30-6) will hit the road November 17-19 for the national tournament in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
