HART — After opening the season with three victories in the road, the Hart girls’ basketball team finally played on its own court Friday night.

The result was a 63-17 victory over North Muskegon in the West Michigan Conference Rivers Division.

Using their athleticism and team quickness, the Pirates came away with 14 steals and 27 points in the first quarter. That set the tone for the rest of the game. It was more of the same in the second quarter, as the Pirates tacked on 24 more points and cruised into the half with a 54-12 advantage.
 
Addie Hovey just missed recording a triple double, finishing the night with 27 points, 10 rebounds, nine steals. She also had three assists.
 
Abby Hicks added 13 points, five rebounds and three assists. Mariana VanAgtmael contributed nine points and five assists.
 
Marilyn Gaston and Grace Philpot led North Muskegon with 6 points each. Kaylee Martin and Georgia Skujins each had four rebounds for the Norse.
 
Hart (4-0, 3-0) travels to Kent City on Tuesday for a nonleague game.
 
The Norse (1-4, 1-3)  is off until they visit Orchard View on Wednesday, Dec. 28 in a conference crossover game.
