GRAND HAVEN – The Grand Haven girls basketball team put away East Kentwood for an OK Conference-Red victory on Tuesday evening, 50-37.

The lead exchanged hands over the first two quarters and the Bucs found themselves trailing 20-19 at halftime.

Grand Haven found some offense in the third quarter with a 16-4 scoring advantage that put them ahead, 35-24.

The Bucs secured the win by outscoring East Kentwood 15-13 during the final eight minutes.

Emersen Beindt led all scorers with 17 points while Grace Harrison had nine points and two steals.

Also, Heide Berkey scored nine points and Gillian Sorrelle grabbed eight rebounds.

Grand Haven (6-3, 3-1) will travel to Grandville on Friday.
