HART — Hart’s girls basketball team breezed to an easy 81-6 blowout of visiting Hesperia in the West Michigan Conference Rivers Division on Tuesday night.

Addi Hovey scored 11 of her team’s 32 first-quarter points to trigger the explosion. 
 
The Pirates kept up their solid half-court pressure defense and continued to push the tempo on offense and shutout the Panthers in the second half.
 
Addy Hicks contributed a game-high 20 points, while also clearing down seven rebounds, dishing out four assists and picking off seven steals for the Pirates.
 
Hovey finished the night with 16 points and also had seven rebounds and six assists. Mariana VanAgtmael added 11 points and Aspen Boutell had 10 points and five rebounds. Chloe Coker had six steals.
 
The Pirates improved their record to 6-2 overall and 5-0 in the conference with their second-straight win. Hart travels to Holton for another conference game Friday night.
 
Hesperia falls to 1-8 overall and 0-5 in the conference, and is next scheduled to see action at Mason County Central in another conference game Friday.
