NORTON SHORES- A rough first half by the Mona Shores boys basketball team spelled trouble as it fell, 65-57 to Holland in an OK-Green matchup.
 
Both teams got off to slow starts in the first quarter as the Sailors trailed, 7-1 after the first eight minutes.
 
Holland dominated the second quarter as they racked up a 26-10 scoring advantage, taking a 33-11 halftime lead.
 
Mona Shores got back in the game with a 23-12 scoring advantage in the third quarter to narrowed its deficit to 45-34.
 
The Sailors had opportunities to cut the lead in the final eight minutes and had a 23-20 scoring advantage, but Holland held on for the win.
 
Leading the Sailors was JT Foster with 21 points and seven rebounds. Ryan Opsommer tossed in 13 points and dished out five assists and Mason Hallett added 13 points. 
 
Mona Shores (4-11, 1-7) will travel to Wyoming on Tuesday.
