HAMILTON – The Spring Lake boys swimming team dropped an OK Conference-Blue meet against Hamilton on Tuesday evening.
The Lakers were defeated by the Hawkeyes, 100-83.
Despite the loss, the Lakers made the most of Senior Night to celebrate the 4-year careers of their seniors.
“It was a great way to send off our two seniors this year, Cornel Rauwerda-esprit and Tomas Ruiz,” said coach Nick Zacek. “It was a ton of fun to see our swim and dive community work come together for our annual fundraiser for Mosaic Counseling.”
Noah Fletcher swam to a personal best in the 500 free and claimed an MHSAA state cut.
Kyle Bajt posted a season-best in the 100 free. Ryan Fisher, Liam Krass and Tyler Nutt earned personal best swims in the 100 back.
Jonah VanDreumel had a personal best in the armstand dives with a score of 207.85.
Spring Lake will host Zeeland West in conference action on Tuesday, Feb. 14.
