Fremont drops soccer season opener to Comstock Park

COMSTOCK PARK –The Fremont girls soccer team opened the season with a 3-1 loss to Comstock Park on Wednesday.

Comstock Park scored on a penalty kick by Maddy Bravata 15 minutes into the match. She added a second goal with six minutes remaining in the first half.

Mia Clemence netted the lone goal for the Packers early in the second half of a set play. The final goal was scored by Lilly Zypera with seven minutes left in the game.

Goalkeepers Kate Mellema and Hailie Snyder had six and three saves, respectively, for Fremont.

Comstock Park had a 12-2 advantage in shots.

Fremont will play their home opener on Friday against Grant.
