HESPERIA — The Hesperia Panthers softball team chalked up a pair of victories on Friday with a doubleheader sweep of Orchard View.

The Panthers won the opener 8-7 and the nightcap 10-4.

In Game 1, Emma Muckey had a walk-off hit in the bottom of the seventh inning to break the tie and give the Panthers the victory. Molly Norris was the winning pitcher. 

Triniti Tanner had three hits, scored two runs and knocked in a pair of runs. Ali Townsend had two hits and scored two runs. She also got on base with three walks. Muckey finished with three hits.

In the second game, Hesperia received two hits each from Townsend and Kayla Rumsey. Abby Joppich had one hit, scored one run, knocked in one run and reached base on two walks.

Earning the win on the mound was Nataleigh McGahan, who worked five innings. Norris pitched two scoreless innings.

Hesperia is now 3-4.
