LUDINGTON —Ā Ludington softball dropped a double header to Reed City on Saturday, 12-2 and 10-0.

Sam Hanson took the loss in the opener for Ludington, giving up 11 hits and five walks over five innings with four strikeouts.

Offensively, the Orioles were led by Ayiana Rangel (2-for-2, 1 RBI, 1 run) and Jody Meisenheimer and Brynn Fortner, who each had a hit.

Meisenheimer threw in the second game and took the loss. She went three innings and scattered four hits, but walked six and struck out just one.

Hanson came in to finish the last two innings and gave up one hit, one walk and struck out three.

Fortner had a double in two trips to the plate for the Orioles.

Ludington (0-2) is next scheduled to visit Oakridge for a West Michigan Conference doubleheader Tuesday.
