HUDSONVILLE – The Mona Shores girls lacrosse team fell short, 9-7, in a conference match against Hudsonville on Wednesday evening.

“This one was a tough one to swallow,” said coach Chip Vasquez. “We played hard, the effort was there and we had our chances, but we just couldn’t finish.”

Kennedy Hynde, Elana Kass and Liane Carmean scored two goals each. Also, Allison Fritz added a single score.

Alex Kuerth made 12 saves in the net for the Sailors.

Mona Shores (5-8, 3-3) will celebrate Senior Night on Friday as it hosts Grand Haven.
