Spring Lake battles its way to a soccer victory over FH Northern

GRAND RAPIDS – The Spring Lake girls soccer team won a physical battle 5-2 against Forest Hills Northern on Friday evening.

Clara Howe led the way with a pair of goals followed by Ada Halvorsen, Kyle Shelton and Phoebe Ryan with a goal apiece.

Ella Andree had two assists and Clara Saunders added one.

Goalkeeper Jessica Stewart posted the victory in net and even added an assist off a punt.

Spring Lake (3-0-2, 2-0-2) will be at OK Conference-Blue rival Fruitport on Monday.
