NORTON SHORES – The state-ranked Mona Shores boys lacrosse team capped off their stellar season with a 10-3 win over Tier 3 champions Holland Christian on Tuesday evening.

The Sailors, ranked No. 11, finished with a program-best record of 15-1, a Tier 2 Conference championship and the top seed in the upcoming regional.

JJ Boos led with seven ground balls and three goals. Brayton Conrad and Ezra Carefelle each added a pair of goals and an assist. Jake Nanna chipped in two assists with a score and Micah Carefelle had one goal and one assist.

Andrew Baker led the defense with six ground balls and five forced turnovers.

Parker Hayward made seven saves on nine shots in the net.

Mona Shores will host Kalamazoo Central in the opening round of the regional tournament on Friday.
