FREMONT — Fremont swept a West Michigan Conference Lakes Division softball doubleheader from Ludington on Tuesday.

Both games ended in a score of 11-1.

Jody Meisenheimer pitched the first game for the Orioles and went all five innings, giving up 13 hits, walking three and striking out one.

Taesyh Hendricks had a double and scored a run for the Orioles. Sabrina Ramirez and Mya Bryant had one hit apiece. Bryant drove in the only run.

In the nightcap, Madelyn Kenyon pitched the first 4 1/3 innings and took the loss. She gave up seven hits, walked two and struck out one.

Meisenheimer, Bryant and Brynn Fortner each had a hit for the Orioles with Bryant again driving home the only run of the game.

Ludington fell to 4-14 overall and 2-8 in the WMC Lakes. The Orioles host Shelby in a conference crossover doubleheader on Thursday.

Fremont hosts Holton on Friday.
