PETOSKEY — After losing its first two games in the Petoskey Invitational on Saturday, the Ludington Orioles girls soccer team finished the day with a 1-0 victory over Oakridge.

The Orioles lost the opening game 2-1 to Freeland. Eliana Jeruzal scored their only goal on a penalty kick.

Cambrian Britton was in goal and had 22 saves on 24 shots.

In the second game, Ludington was shut out by Cedar Springs, 1-0. Britton was in goal for the first half and had six saves on seven shots. Grace Ashley finished the game in the second half and had seven saves on seven shots.

Maddie Billings notched the only goal for the Orioles against Oakridge.

Ashley was in goal and had four saves on four shots.

Ludington fell to 7-9-2 and is scheduled to travel to North Muskegon on Thursday.
