MUSKEGON — The Mona Shores Sailors won a pair of one-run games over Zeeland West on Wednesday.

On Thursday, West flipped the script and defeated Shores 10-3 in the final game of the three-game series.

Zeeland West too quick control of the game against Sailor pitcher Trevor Cunningham, who was saddled with the loss. He allowed seven earned runs and struck out four.

Mona Shores, which had nine hits, was led by Javanni Johnson with two doubles and a run scored. Isaac Habetler and Bryson Belanger had two hits and one RBI each. Brady Recknagel had two hits and scored one run.

The Sailors (15-3, 10-2) will host Muskegon Catholic at 10 a.m. Saturday in the opening round of the Greater Muskegon Athletic Association baseball tournament.
