MUSKEGON — The Calvary Knights kicked off their inaugural season with a hefty win in their first home game on Saturday at Oakridge High School.

The Knights cruised by West Michigan Venom with a 60-0 shutout that was called early in the third quarter.

Quarterback CJ Walker led the charge for the Knights with a monster game. Walker threw five TD passes on 17-of-20 passing and had a pair of rushing scores.

Trevon Cosse posted three receptions for 102 yards and had a touchdown. Brandon Brancaccio had 43 yards receiving and had 33 rushing yards with two touchdowns.

The Knights led 20-0 after the first quarter and 45-0 by halftime. The defense held the Venom to just 17 total yards.

Maxwell Mcguffey paced Calvary defensively with 14 tackles and two sacks. Lladonis Thompson posted nine tackles and Keith Taylor had seven tackles and three sacks.
