HOLTON–Muskegon Catholic saw its highly successful baseball season come to an end on Saturday in a Division 4 regional final loss to Fowler.

The Crusaders lost, 3-1.

Catholic pitcher Jacob Lyonnais pitched a solid game, but didn’t get enough run support to notch the victory. Lyonnais allowed two earned runs and five hits.

Included in Fowler’s hit total was a home run by Evan Curtiss.

Bryan Convertini had three hits, one a double, for the Crusaders. He scored MCC’s lone run in the fourth inning that tied the game at 1-all. Croix Klint was credited with the RBI.

Fowler scored its fourth-inning run on a throwing error and one in the fifth on an infield hit. Mitchell Worth had two hits to lead Fowler, while Curtiss pitched a complete game for the win.

MCC finished the season 30-8-1.

Later in the day, Fowler dropped an 11-2 decision to Beal City in the quarterfinal round.
