Greater Muskegon Junior Golf Tour releases event results

MUSKEGON–The Greater Muskegon Junior Golf Tour held its third event of the summer season on Monday at Lincoln Golf Club in Muskegon.

In the boys’ high school division, Cruz Beckstrom from Norton Shores took top honors shooting a round of 78 while Titan Carter from Shelby finished just one stroke with a 79. Chaseton Sullivan from Muskegon finished in third place at 82.

The remainder of the leaderboard included: Jack Laughlin (Spring Lake-89), Adam Vruggink (Spring Lake-91), Ayden Hartzell (Twin Lake-94), Barrett Nance (North Muskegon-96), Brady Volkmann (Norton Shores-97), Luke Jones,(Muskegon-102), Ivan Carter (Shelby-104) and Jackson Beezley (Norton Shores (120).

In the girls’ high school division, Paige Anderson from Muskegon set the pace at 72. She was followed by Sophia McDowell from Twin Lake, who shot an 84 and Bluhm Rowan from Muskegon came in third place at 90.

Rounding out the field were: Allie Van Antwerp (Whitehall-96), Kennedy Johnson (Montague-104), Grace Sheler (North Muskegon-112), EmmaLee Fox (Twin Lake-112). Cadence Fox (Twin Lake-113), Braylyn Bultema (Whitehall-121) and Annalise Bonnema (Spring Lake-135).

In the boys’ 6th grade – 8th grade division, Brennan Andres from Spring Lake shot a 47 and Jones McDowell from Whitehall finished with a 49.

In the girls’ 6th grade – 8th grade division, Maddy Erndteman from Ludington took top honors at 48 while Maisy Start from Spring Lake finished in second place with a 56. Allie Buchner from Muskegon finished with a 70 and Emersyn Bonnema rounded out the field with an 80.

In the coed division 5th grade and under, Max Martin from Naples, FL took top honors at 32 while Brady Searles from Muskegon finished with second place with a 40 and Sophie Balaskovitz from Montague came in third place at 43.

Rounding out the leaderboard were Bryce Andres (Spring Lake-44), Phil Kerr (Whitehall-52), Graeme Reed (Scottville-55), Hazel Grice (Montague-59) and Vera Mott (Montague-73).

The next tour event will be Monday at Old Channel Trail Golf Course in Montague.
