Lady Jayhawks blanked by Schoolcraft in women’s soccer opener

In a battle of ranked soccer opponents, the 13th-ranked Muskegon Community College dropped a 2-0 decision to the seventh-ranked Schoolcraft Ocelots in womens’ soccer action on Friday.

 

Paige Stephens and Kyra Brandon scored goals to account for the Ocelots’ goals.

 

MCC goalkeeper Grace Caywood (Zeeland West) made eight saves in net for the Jayhawks, which also got solid play from its midfield and defense.

 

The Jayhawks (0-1) travel to fourth-ranked Delta at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
