MCC women’s volleyball team gets first win of the season

MUSKEGON – The Muskegon Community College volleyball team made a clean sweep of Southwestern Michigan Community College in its home opener on Tuesday.

The Jayhawks won in three sets, 25-21, 25-15, 25-19.

Kaitlynn Bennett had 12 kills, three blocks and an ace. Madisyn Dykema added 10 kills with a pair of blocks while Shelbie Schoenborn had 45 assists, six digs, two blocks and an ace.

Muskegon Community College (1-4) will travel to Champaign, Ill. for the Parkland Invitational this weekend.
