MONTAGUE – The Fremont boys’ soccer team rebounded from their first loss of the season with a West Michigan Conference-Lakes victory on Wednesday over Montague.

The Packers topped the Wildcats, 2-0.

Killian Prewitt and Redick Powell each scored a goal while Chaz Miller added an assist.

Goalkeeper Caleb Vissia made eight saves for the Packers.

The Wildcats’ Eli Bunton stopped 11 shots in goal.

Fremont (14-1-1, 6-1-1) will be at home for a league match with Whitehall on Monday.

Montague (8-7, 4-4) will be at Fruitport on Thursday.
