HART – Balancing a return to a regular school schedule was no problem for Hart volleyball on Tuesday as they swept Orchard View in three sets in volleyball.

The Pirates had their work cut out for them in the first set. The Cardinals battled the heat and built themselves a lead before Hart came storming back to take the initial game, 25-18.

From there, Hart put the foot on the gas, taking OV down in the second and third sets by 25-10 and 25-13 scores to claim overall victory.

Hart junior Kelsey Copenhaver had a solid day, with 14 assists, eight kills, two digs and an ace. Joining Copenhaver atop the statistics were Maryn Klotz with 10 assists and one dig, Abby Hicks with three aces, nine kills and three digs and Gabby Schmieding with two aces, five kills and two digs.

Hart improved to 6-1 on the year and will take a trip to Manton on Thursday. Orchard View will travel to Kentwood Grand River Prep on Saturday.
