MANTON – Hart’s volleyball team made a long trip to Manton on Thursday and fell in four sets, 3-1.
A long bus ride could’ve been the reason the Pirates started slow as they lost the first two sets. Hart fought back to take the third set 26-24 in extra points, but couldn’t hang on in the fourth, losing 25-22.
Abby Hicks led the way for Hart, pouring on 25 digs, five kills, one block and one assist. Kelsey Copenhaver came away with 16 digs, 11 kills, three blocks and five assists while Gabby Schmieding had 16 digs, five kills, one assist and a block. Alyana Schiller had 14 digs from her libero spot.
The Pirates fell to 6-2 and will be back on the road Tuesday for a conference match with North Muskegon.
