Kent City falls to Buchanan in non-league football contest

HOLLAND– The Kent City Eagles found the going a bit difficult on their road trip to play Buchanan.

The contest was played on the campus of Hope College in Holland.

When it was over, the Eagles were on the short end of a 23-8 score against the Bucks.

The Eagles trailed 7-0 after one quarter, 14-0 at the half.

Kent City scored its only touchdown in the fourth quarter on a run by Caden Hartzell, who led the ground game with 15 carries for 98 yards.

Hartzel also had a strong game on the defensive side of the ball with 13 tackles and one pass breakup. Joe VanOffelen also had 13 stops for the Eagles.
