Muskegon Community College women’s soccer team captures first victory of the season

MUSKEGON – The Muskegon Community College women’s soccer team posted their first win of the season on Friday with a 3-2 victory over Lake Michigan College.

McKenna Gentry (Muskegon Catholic Central) and Lainey Canan (Zeeland East) led with a goal and an assist apiece. Marissa Standberg (Whitehall) scored a goal while Lydia Sowles (Mona Shores) added an assist.

Also, Reeths-Puffer graduates Brooke Bradley and Taeah Rensberger turned in strong performances.

The Jayhawks will be back at home on Wednesday as they host Jackson Community College.
