NORTH MUSKEGON – The North Muskegon Norsemen continued their winning ways on Friday night with a dominating 69-7 conference victory over the visiting Hesperia Panthers.

Tristan Thomas led the way with five touchdowns, four rushing and one receiving. He carried the ball six times for 88 yards. Cullen Bartos scored a pair of touchdowns. Alex Newville had one rush and that resulted in a 59-yard touchdown. Hunter Wilder rushed twice for 53 yards and a touchdown. Chuck Meyers’ only carry of the game resulted in a 1-yard scoring run.

Quarterback James Young hit on all six of his passes for 153 yards and three touchdowns. His scoring passes went to Landon Christensen (69 yards), Thomas (11 yards) and TJ Byard who had two catches for 62 yards and a touchdown.

Junior kicker Owen Booth was successful on all six of his extra points.

The defense was led by Newville and Chuck Meyers with seven tackles each. AJ Larkin had six tackles and intercepted a pass.

North Muskegon travels to Hart next week.

Hesperia travels to Shelby next Friday night.
