HESPERIA –The North Muskegon volleyball team took down Hesperia in three sets on Tuesday.

The Norse won 25-13, 25-10 and 25-15.

“The girls came out strong with lots of energy and executed,” said Coach Kammie Eaker. “We wanted to mix up our offense and play with a lot of pace and I think we did that.”

Allie Jensen helped lead the way with 16 digs, six kills and two aces while Sami Baker threw in 21 assists, 15 digs, three kills and two aces. Also, Fia Lindsay added three aces, three kills and a block.

Coach Eaker was impressed with the toughness of the Panthers.

“Hesperia is one of the scrappiest teams I have ever seen, and they played really hard,” said Eacker. “There were a lot of balls that should have hit the floor that they just refused to let hit, and their team effort was really awesome.”

North Muskegon will compete at the Fruitport Invitational on Saturday.

Hesperia travels to Shelby on Tuesday.
