COOPERSVILLE – The Fruitport Trojans fell behind early and dropped a 55-16 decision to the Coopersville Broncos in an OK-Blue contest on Friday night.

The Broncos led 42-0 at the half and 49-0 before the Trojans were able to get on the board.

In the fourth quarter, quarterback Bradon Dornbos hit Kayden Beardsley for a 33-yard pass that got the Trojans on the board.

Later, Ricky Wiggins scored from 13 yards out. Dornbos accounted for a pair of 2-point conversions.

Next week, Fruitport (0-7) hosts Spring Lake (5-2) in the “Battle of the Bayou.”
