HOWARD CITY – Hart’s boys soccer team traveled to Howard City on Monday for a regular season finale matchup with Tri County, coming away with a 4-0 win.

The entire day belonged to Hart as it scored just five minutes into the first half. Adrian Belmares found space on the left wing and set up Tyler Larios-Mendez with a pass to the middle for the 1-0 lead.

Though they had plenty of scoring opportunities in the remainder of that opening period, the Pirates couldn’t capitalize, leaving them with the small advantage at halftime.

The second half saw Hart score three more goals. Three minutes into the final frame, Rivaldo Gonzalez sent a corner kick opportunity to the head of Carter Ramseyer. Belmares cleaned that up with a header of his own to bring it to a 2-0 affair.

Adan Cruz and Belmares scored goals in succession, allowing Hart to coast to the shutout win. Two men were in goal for Hart with Miguel Escamilla making five saves and Luke VanderWilk making one.

The Pirates will travel to Fremont for a meeting with the Packers on Wednesday to begin the district tournament.
