MONTAGUE – The Montague boys’ soccer team earned its first-ever victory over conference foe North Muskegon on Wednesday. The Wildcats battled to a 2-1 win in the exciting matchup.

The Norse opened the scoring on a goal by Serj Pastor, before the Wildcats answered with a header by Andy Hernandez off an assist from Carter Mahoney.

The Wildcats’ Javari Aldridge scored the game-winner with an assist by Chris Aebig.

Wildcat goalkeeper Ben Mishler subbed in for Eli Bunton and made a crucial save on a North Muskegon penalty kick.

Montague (9-8-1) will open district play next Wednesday as they host Shelby.

North Muskegon (7-8-4) will be at home against Grandville Calvin Christian on Monday in a non-league matchup.
