To say that Arturo Romero-Serrano is on a tear for the Oakridge Eagles’ soccer team would be an understatement. The senior forward helped power his team to a 6-0 victory over Pentwater on Wednesday with five goals.

The venerable captain of the squad and four-year starter is hitting his stride once again following an injury early during the Ludington match that sidelined him for three more games.

Romero-Serrano returned Monday and tallied four goals against Manistee.

On Wednesday night, Oakridge jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a Logan McHaney goal, and then Romero-Serrano took over with five straight goals.

Vitek Benes had two assists for the Eagles ,while Asher Luft, Isaac Utzinger and Federico Pucciarelli each had assists.

The Eagles completed their regular season with a 10-7-1 record and will host Grant in the first round of the district tournament on Wednesday October 11.
