HUDSONVILLE – The Fruitport boys’ soccer team blanked Unity Christian in the O-K Blue conference tournament semi-final round on Wednesday evening. The Trojans topped the Crusaders, 2-0.
The action was scoreless at halftime, but Isaac Vandermolen found the net midway through the second stanza to go ahead. Jorge Burgos-Yack netted the insurance goal.
Fruitport Goalkeeper Logan Werschem made 10 saves in his eighth consecutive shutout.
Fruitport (14-2-2) will travel to Holland Christian on Monday for the O-K Blue tournament championship game.
