Pettis’ third-place finish paces Fremont at Portage cross country event

PORTAGE – The Fremont boys finished 12th and the Packer girls were 33rd in Saturday’s Portage Cross Country Invitational.

The girls finished with 795 points for their 33rd-place finish.

Leading runners for Fremont were Linnea Paige in 31st, Joelle Patten in 155th, Rachel Maddox was 188th, Kira Manchip was 227th. The race included 45 teams and 297 runners.

The Fremont boys were led by a third-place finish by Sean Pettis. He was followed by Carter Sherman in 46th, Cole Lowery in 114th, Evan Christoffersen in 184th and Mossen Green in 216th.
