WHITEHALL – Shelby’s volleyball team took part in a tri meet at Whitehall on Tuesday, defeating both the Vikings and Kenty City in six sets of work.

The Tigers dropped the first set to Kent City 27-25 before taking the next two 25-16 and 15-11. Shelby did the same to Whitehall, falling 25-22 and then rounding out the night with 25-19 and 15-7 victories.

Navea Gauthier led the way, per usual, tallying 65 kills and 30 digs while Audrey Horton set her up with 58 assists. Hannah Frees and Molli Schultz were defensive specialists, posting 23 and 21 kills respectively.

The Tigers (29-12 overall; 8-0 WMC Rivers) will now prepare for their regular season finale on Saturday when they travel to Sparta.
