WHITEHALL – The Whitehall Vikings posted yet another shutout on Friday night, this time 56-0 over the visiting Fremont Packers.

The Vikings (8-0) put up 35 points in the opening half and cruised to their fifth shutout victory of the season.

The defense even contributed a touchdown when Trannon Aylor returned an interception 73 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter.

Whitehall put up a pair of first-quarter touchdowns on an 11-yard run by quarterback Kyle Stratton and a 42-yard pass from Stratton to Aylor.

In the second quarter, Stratton and Aylor hooked up again, this time for a 13-yard touchdown pass. Aylor followed with his interception return, Brock Morningstar produced a safety and Stratton ran in another touchdown from 7 yards out.
It was 35-0 at the half.

In the third quarter, Malcolm Ervin scored on a 31-yard run and Camden Thompson scored from 1 yard out to make it 49-0 after three quarters.

Abram Stoudt capped the scoring with an 8-yard run in the fourth quarter.

Stratton finished 5-for-9 for 116 yards and rushed 10 times for 79 yards. Aylor caught two passes, both touchdowns, for 55 yards.

Fremont quarterback Talen Reichert-Slater completed 6-of-14 passes for 52 yards and two interceptions. Asa Barnhard rushed nine times for 20 yards and Tritan Corrigan had four receptions for 37 yards.

Owen Hertel had 10 tackles on defense for Fremont and Connor Pettis had eight.

Whitehall hosts Orchard View in the regular-season finale next week.

Fremont travels to Manistee for its final game of the season.
