KALAMAZOO – The Muskegon Community College Jayhawks dropped a 79-72 decision to Kalamazoo Valley Community College on Wednesday.
The Jayhawks, playing without two starters and a third limited in his minutes, dropped to 2-3 on the season.
MCC is without Jacob Mueller and Jadakiss Lewis while Jacob May has been cleared to play, but his playing time is being limited.
The teams battled to a 38-all standoff at halftime. KVCC had a 41-34 scoring advantage in the second half.
Freshman guard Will Chye led MCC with 18 points, seven rebounds and two steals. Kaden George also reached double figures in scoring with 14 points. He chipped in five assists. Tate Stine added 13 points, four rebounds and three assists.
